A Designer’s Take on the New Freepik Logo

As a resource site for designers, I have to say that I’m vastly disappointed by Freepik’s new logo by Partners in Crime. The logomark was an easily recognisable symbol, as it was one of a kind. Now you’ve taken away that one thing that’s unique to the brand completely. I get that they’re trying to emulate the “alienness” in the logotype, but it has failed to convey the branding. Why do I say this? I’ve seen similar logotype styles like

Down Memory Lane

I used to be an avid reader of Xiaxue’s blog. So, I searched for her blog once more, only to find it removed because of the cancel culture. Cancel culture is sounding more like cancer culture, a disease unleashed on random people OR people asking for it. But, to what degree should freedom of speech be punished? Barbenheimer Review

Barbie Review Fun and insightful. It is more meaningful than I thought, definitely not for kids alone. In fact, some topics are rather adult. We get to learn about the history of Barbie too. Recommended for all genders. Graphics: Gorgeous, the pink theme is carefully thought out. I understand the reasoning behind the effects on some motions, but not a fan of it as it appears fake. Audio: Dua Lipa’s dance song is instantly recognisable, great work. 8/10 Oppenheimer Review
