There’s not been a single TV series that got me hooked right from the beginning until the very end besides The Penguin. Nope, not even Breaking Bad or the Game of Thrones.
In this TV series, you get to see the backstory of Oswald Cobbs and how he came to be The Penguin. This show pulls at your heartstrings, bringing it for a rollercoaster ride on who this man is. You feel for him, you feel for his victims.
Sofia Falcone, brilliantly adds to the depth of the plot. A daughter of Carmine Falcone, she slowly steps into her role, whether it be willingly or unwillingly.
I’ve not watched any of Colin Farrell’s movies (or if I did, I don’t remember it) but his acting as The Penguin is one to remember. Iconic and unrecognisable.
Visually stunning and worth watching.
